Benefits of tutoring

Boost in confidence and self esteem

Falling behind in class causes students to feel insecure or “a failure”. Overcoming challenges and understanding the class material can be a huge boost to a child’s self-esteem. Every student is capable of success and deserves to feel like a winner.

Improved academic performance

It goes without saying that one-on-one support is the best way to teach a child. Teachers and parents don’t always have the time or skills to give each child enough time to talk them through their learning. Tutoring gives them the time to ask plenty of questions and go over the things they are stuck on without shame and in the comfort of home.

Prepares your child for tertiary education

Tutoring gives students an opportunity to discuss academic content and talk through their understanding of that content with another person. Yes, it can help students boost their grades and thus give them a better chance of getting into university, but more importantly, tutoring assists with assignment comprehension and knowledge retention which are critical skills for university work.

Improves attitude towards learning
and school

When students are left to struggle at school, they often take out their pain and resentment by skipping school or acting up in class. Many teachers fail to see that these are not “bad” kids, simply they feel ashamed and left out of the learning environment. When given patience, praise, and kindness the student feels accepted and starts to love learning.
